Gear #1 - Wish Lists - I just bought a Canon what lens should I buy next? EF 50mm 1.8 review.

So you just bought a brand new canon camera and you're wondering which lens to buy to improve or take your photography to the next level. You find yourself searching amazon for a good lens however your pockets aren't as deep as they used to be. Well the answer to the question is quite simple - the lens that you should buy is the 50 MM 1.8 which you can get on Amazon for $110.

I, personally, have used the 50 1.8 II and have to say it is a spectacular lens. This lens gives you the opportunity to take stunning images without having to break your wallet. It even does pretty well in low light! The lens is amazing as it provides you with a nice and shallow depth of field and a decent bokeh.

Bokeh is a photography term that refers to the aesthetic way that the lens focuses out light into beautiful blurry circles.

The only downside, to this lens, is that it feels a little plasticky. If you don't mind shelling out another few hundred I would definitely recommend the 50mm 1.4 by Canon or Sigma.
