## TO fart or not to fart... That is the question!

So what is it - to fart? FART, is an acronym, a very creative one at that too. When I heard of farting in photography, I was like, "what the heck!"

- 'F' for the word feel
- 'A' for ask
- 'R' for refine
- 'T' for take

I have Ken Rockwell to thank for teaching me [how to fart in style](http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/fart.htm)! 

He taught me what I needed to know about farting and I suggest you take a look at his methods of farting as well lol. After reading his article, I hope you will better understand how important it is to fart in style.

For the most part though, I pretend that I can see through only one eye. Why? Because, your camera has only a single sensor to capture everything so I pretend that I have the same eye. Yes, photographers are a wacky bunch, anyways that doesn't mean that you walk around with an eye patch over your eye. LOL that would be stupid. Keep both eyes open, look around for a good spot. Then when you find the place you want to shoot, put the camera to your eye and FART.

**Remember to review the first few pictures to make sure that the settings are just the way you want your photographs to be. **

A few checks that to I do before the shoot are:

- Is the subject in the shade (the shade makes for even lighting).
- Is the f-stop/iso the amount I want it to be.
- Has the proper white balance been selected.
- Do I have the right metering mode selected. 
- Compose the shot.

After that it's pretty much smooth sailing till the post production.
